DEMO #3: WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT IN MADRID
TECHNOLOGY CONCERNED: POZZI provides a self-cleaning heat recovery system for sludges out-coming from a bio-digestion tank of the waste water treatment plant, specifically selected for its heat recovery potential.
CONCEPT OF THE DEMONSTRATION: The POZZI system will be installed in life after the bio-digestion tank for waste water treatment sludges, with the goal to recover heat from the biologic anaerobic processes before dismissal.
CONCEPT TO DEMONSTRATE:
EXPECTED RESULTS
The system is expected to efficiently recover an important quantity of energy from an effluent with residual energy actually not used in the paper factory. This heat recovered is afterwards re-injected it in the cycle to reduce the global consumption of the plant.
In collaboration with Canal de Isabel II and Acciona Aqua, this is the third LowUP demonstration site. The “Arroyo Culebro Baja WWTP” manages part of the depuration of the residual water that comes from the city of Madrid.
